Darkfire Loropetalum is similar to Ruby's growth habit, however, the foliage is much deeper and darker. 'Darkfire' keeps its color well even in the heat of the summer.  A solid foundation plant.

Loropetalums, also known as Chinese Fringe Flowers, are utilitarian landscape plants, adding a nice splash of color, especially when combined with lime green or yellow plants.
 
Purple Daydream is a low-growing variety with deep burgundy-red foliage that keeps its color through hot summers (avoid excess shade) as well as hot pink blooms in the summer. Keep the soil slightly acidic, as leaves will develop chlorosis if the soil is too alkaline. Drought tolerant once established. Use in borders or small masses.
