Grows 3-4 ft tall and wide
This clump-forming perennial that is a member of the mint family is an easy, low-maintenance plant that is an important pollinator in late summer, when many other flowers have faded. Its flowers, rich in nectar, attract bees, butterflies, moths, and other beneficial insects. When crushed, the leaves give off a pleasantly pungent menthol aroma.
Russian Sage has a moderate growth rate and performs well in dry, full sun conditions. Cut back stems to several inches during the spring to stimulate good seasonal growth and prevent the plant from 'flopping' later in the year. No serious insect or disease problems.
