The beautiful, medium-sized Chinese Pistache is one tough customer.  Drought-tolerant, pest-free and easy to transplant, it is perfect for urban environments.  Leaves are a lustrous dark green in summer and turn a beautiful orange to red in fall.  Pistache prefers full sun and does well in a variety of soils, plus it's drought-tolerant once established.  When it's young, proper pruning is needed to create a symmetrical oval to round shape.  Look for exfoliating bark in the winter.  A good tree for a patio, garden or along a street.
