7g Yardline Viburnum
Viburnum x Yardline® 'NCVX5'

Grows 8' - 12' ht. x ' - 4' sp.

A narrower version of our beefy Chindo Viburnums, Yardline fills that evergreen screening gap and can be used as hedge, specimen, or taller foundation plant.  Fast growing and low maintenance, its leaves are thick and glossy and stay attractive year-round.

Yardline® is an evergreen cultivar of several viburnum shrubs in the Viburnaceae family bred by Dr. Tom Ranney of NCSU. Parentage is V. awabuki × (V. awabuki 'Chindo' × V. sieboldii 'Ironclad') × OP. It is more compact with a columnar form growing 6 to 12 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide.

Drought tolerant once established, they like well-drained soil and will hardly need pruning as they grow.  Clusters of white flowers appear in spring, and if you have a suitable pollinator plant nearby
(V. awabuki), you'll see red berries later in the summer.  The best part?  No significant insect or disease issues.
