Grows 2-3" height
Dwarf mondo grass is a low-growing ground cover. It is smaller and more compact than Ophiopogon japonicas but has the same beautiful green foliage, metallic blue fruit, and light lilac flower. This plant is an excellent ground cover. Thrives in average moisture, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade.

A striking contrast to variegated Liriope or other brightly colored plants, Black Mondo Grass is a great little groundcover with jet black leaves that mature to about 12" long. During the summer, small, bell-shaped white flowers tinged with pink push up and produce glossy, dark purple round berries that ripen in the fall.
Black Mondo Grass prefers rich, slightly acidic, moist, and well-drained soil. It grows well in full sun to partial shade.
